|Are you the hunters that is looking to be the first to hunt non pressured whitetail bucks that may still be in a Pre Rut / summer feeding
pattern? Are you a hunter that enjoys hunting specific bucks that have been consistently caught on trail camera all summer long? Are you
a hunter wants to hunt Illinois but is dedicated to spending the rut at home with family or friends or if you are just simply looking for a more
affordable whitetail hunting adventure? Then a pre rut whitetail hunt may be just what the deer doctor ordered!
Each year Backwoods Whitetails scouts each property through the use of several game camera's. The use of these camera's allows our
guides to gain the some much needed knowledge of just what is running around that area. What better time to take advantage of that
knowledge than on a Early Season Pre Rut Whitetail Hunt. This is not the peak of the rut, but it is a great time for skilled hunters to
capitalize on a trophy whitetail. At this time of year the bucks are usually still in bachelor group and can be feeding heavily on falling
acorns, on freshly cut crops or in green fields. Combine that with some freshly used boundary scrapes, a concentration of new rubs and a
little patience to have yourself a great chance at harvesting a trophy class Pope & Young or Boone & Crockett whitetail buck with a bow.
This hunt is seven days long scheduled to begin the first Sunday in October and will end on the following Saturday. At this time of year, our
camp atmosphere is usually very relaxed with only having only a few hunters in camp and hunters shouldn't get worn out from those long
all day sits in the stand that are definitely required during the rut. So if this sounds like a hunt that you have been looking for? Then
contact us via phone or email with any further questions that you may have about hunting early season whitetails in West Central Illinois.
