| The West Central location of Illinois is noted for some of the best whitetail hunting in the United States and the Illinois annual firearm seasons are some of the most popular ways to hunt the trophy whitetails of Illinois. Backwoods Whitetails Outfitters has some of the best guided 100% Wild & Fair chase whitetail firearm hunting in the state of Illinois. Each year we achieve a very high success rate that is 90+ percent and it is not unusual if we achieve 100% success. All of our shotgun hunts are conducted on privately owned & lease whitetail properties. Each property has preset stands but we allow our hunters the freedom to move on their own to succeed while still maintaining the assistance of a guide. Even though we have No trophy fines, No Trophy Fee's and No Antler Minimums we still harvest trophy Class whitetail bucks each and every season. Hunters have the option of using shotguns with rifled barrels, Muzzleloaders or pistols and scopes are permitted on any firearm. We offer hunts during both of the Firearm seasons in Illinois. Most all of our farms are available for 1st season gun hunting and each has proven itself to produce trophy whitetails during the Illinois gun season. Don't overlook our 2nd season gun hunts as they are just as productive as our 1st season hunts. This is due to we only offer a maximum of six hunting spots to hunt on the select properties where we know there are always a good population of whitetail bucks.
